Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Some of our reviews, blurbs, and blogs, because of an all-too-long hiatus, come late to the game. However, Mad Max: Fury Road continues to be worthy of mention and praise.

Mad Max: Fury Road is summer blockbusting at its finest. The film is not only a "must see," but also a "must own" on Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack. I was never much of a fan of the original Mad Max films, but I am a huge fan of Fury Road and Tom Hardy's performance as Max. Additionally, seeing the film in 3D was a beautiful experience.

Some say, that Hollywood merely recycles old ideas, sequelizes, and reboots into oblivion because of a lack of originality and fresh idea. However, Mad Max: Fury Road provides evidence that some films need a good ol' fashioned reboot and/or sequel in order to truly shine.

Please note: because I am not a big fan of the originals, I'm not sure whether Fury Road would be considered a reboot or a sequel. The film is made by the same person (George Miller) that made all of the originals (and Happy Feet 1 and 2,) so for me the distinction is blurred.
